Design. Fabricate. Teach.

Design of household products, tools, mechanical devices, and theory-driven projects has always fascinated me. So many decisions are made so that functional and artistic design can work together to satisfy the user. I would love to push my critical thinking and artistic ability to create elegant solutions in the form of tangible products.

Fabrication is what inspired me to become a mechanical engineer. From playing with legos and duct tape to machining and laser cutting I have only begun to learn how much valuable knowledge there is to be gained from building your ideas. It teaches me an entirely new way to look at design and prepares me to become a more capable engineer.

Teaching is something I have loved doing for a long time. From helping my friends understand calculus in high school to teaching students the basics of designing and fabricating parts in the machine shop. Teaching will continue to be something that makes me happy and that I find fulfilling. I know that teaching others will always be a part of what I do.
